Inside Dak Prescott’s bonding trip with the Cowboys’ most controversial addition
After an injury-riddled 2024 season, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is back to full health and excited to work with one new teammate in particular.

Last season, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending hamstring injury about midway through the season. As it was already shaping up to be one of his worst seasons, Prescott is looking to bounce back in 2025 now that he’s finally fully healthy again.
Prescott’s first impression of Pickens
One of his first moves is to build chemistry with some of the new teammates Dallas acquired during the offseason - including wide receiver George Pickens. The Cowboys acquired Pickens from the Steelers in a high-risk, high-reward trade.

Despite concerns about Pickens’ past off-field behavior, Prescott says he’s been impressed after spending time with him during a private offseason retreat in Georgia. Prescott praised Pickens’ football IQ and team-first mentality, adding that the fresh start in Dallas could be exactly what he needs.
“It was as beneficial as any trip has been,” Prescott said. “That knowledge, that involvement, it shows you a guy that loves football and that, to me, deletes a lot of the things you heard in the past about him. Great dude, loves his teammates and excited as hell for this season. I know he is and I know he’s happy to be in a fresh new spot and excited for what he’s going to do for us.”
