Is Carson Wentz’s career in jeopardy after killing a black bear in Alaska?

NFL free agent quarterback Carson Wentz sparked an immense backlash as he posed next to a dead black bear during his hunting trip in Alaska.

A new episode that may mean the endpoint for Wentz in the NFL. Number 2 in the 2016 draft and Super Bowl champion with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018, he has been without a team since the Washington Commanders released him. The controversial photo with the dead bear could discourage the teams that had shown interest in signing him in recent months.

Carson Wentz faced online criticism for sharing the results of his Alaskan bear-hunting expedition on social media. Hunting remains a contentious topic, irrespective of its adherence to legal, ethical, and humane standards. Wentz was aware or ought to have been aware that sharing images featuring a sizable deceased bear would elicit severe censure from a lot of people.

Any possibility of an NFL comeback for Carson Wentz?

Following his release from Washington in February, Wentz has been diligently training with Jon Gruden, aiming for a successful return to the NFL.

In the 2022 season, Wentz’s appearances were limited to eight games, with a mere seven starts, marking a career low. After Wentz’s lackluster performance, the Commanders opted to give Heinicke the starting position. Despite this setback, Wentz threw for a respectable 1,755 passing yards and 11 touchdowns.

After the bear incident is very difficult to say if Wentz will be back with another NFL team any time soon.
