Update:

With NFL training camps set to start this week players are doing their final bit of preparation before the season begins. Odell Beckham is apparently doing the same thing even, and looks to be set for a comeback to the NFL.

Beckham “loading...”

Beckham never really retired from the NFL, but after playing briefly with the Baltimore Ravens and then getting realeased by the Miami Dolphins in December of 2024, it looked like his playing days were over.

The three time Pro Bowler is now teasing fans of a comeback after posting a picture on Snapchat of him lacing up his shoes with his No. 13 New York Giants helmet right next to him. “Mannnnn it feels toooo good to lace up again. Loading….” was the message attached to the social media photo.

Beckham is only 32, and if he’s healthy could be a welcome addition to a receiving corp. in need of some experience. His best days were in New York were he and Eli Manning formed a potent tandem, as the former LSU receiver lit it up in his first few years. After winning Rookie of the Year in 2014, with a 1,300 yard, 12 TD season he put up 1,000 yard seasons in three of the next four seasons.

Beckham plagued by injury bug

He was traded to Cleveland in 2019 and had a good first season but then injuries started to mount up, and that problem would shadow him for the next few years. Tore his ACL in Week 7 of the 2020 season and missed the rest of that year.

He was left Cleveland the next year and joined the LA Rams, where he would have a bittersweet ended to his time in the City of Angels. He won his first Super Bowl and was a key part of the Rams success in the last half of the season, but also tore his ACL again in the title game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

That would force him to miss the 2022 season, and when he came back to full strength the Ravens picked him up as a back up. He caught 35 passes for 565 yards. Last year he caught just nine passes for 55 yards with the Miami Dolphins. He should still have some gas in the tank, the question is can his body hold up after struggling with injury?
