Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter shocks wife with $700k wedding gift

After a stellar college career, Travis Hunter was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Hunter is yet to even sign a contract with the Jags but he’s already showed that he’s not afraid of spending that money. He married partner Leanna Lenee in a ceremony at The Barn at Faith Farms in Athens, Tennessee on Saturday and marked the occasion with a very lavish gift.

Hunter surprised his new wife with a Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 Brabus 800 at the ceremony. The luxury SUV is though to be worth up to $700,000 and it was ‘wrapped’ with white sheets and matching balloons for the wedding.

The two-way star turned 22 earlier this month but he’s already amassed an impressive personal fortune from his college career.

Although he’s yet to agree a deal with the Jaguars it’s fair to assume that his rookie contract in the NFL will be extremely lucrative. Hunter’s status as a two-way player will boost his value and Spotrac has projected a $46.5 million, four-year contract for Hunter. He is also set for a signing bonus worth around $30 million.

But despite those lofty figures, there’s one more thing that Hunter will be pushing for in contract negotiations. During his time in college with Colorado he starred in both the offensive and defensive phases of the game. In a recent interview with CBS Sports, Hunter revealed that he would not sign for any team that restricted his two-way play.

“It’s never playing football again,” Hunter said, when asked if he would consider switching from a two-way play. “Because I’ve been doing it my whole life, and I love being on the football field. I feel like I could dominate on each side of the ball, so I really enjoy doing it.”
