Jaguars vs Jets: NFL week 16 injury report | Will Trevor Lawrence be able to play?
With the Jags quarterback suffering from a nagging toe injury for several weeks now, we look at each team’s health report heading into Thursday
With the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets so evenly matched, any injuries can have a huge impact on the outcome. This is amplified even more when you are talking about the Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence, whose impeccable play has been the key to their current win streak.
After injuring his toe in Week 13, Lawrence has been questionable every week since then, and this week it is no exception. According to the Jaguars, he is officially questionable, but there is no indication from the club at all that he will not play on Thursday Night Football.
Across the sidelines, the Jets are in a different quandary, having ruled out their starting quarterback Mike White and will hand the reins over to Zach Wilson.
Other notable injuries ahead of the matchup are Jags D-lineman Folorunso Fatukasi, who is suffering with an ankle injury, and Jets D-lineman Quinnen Williams, who has a nagging calf injury despite his 11 sacks and what looks to be a Pro Bowl season. According to Jets coach Robert Saleh whether or not to play Williams will be a decision made just before kickoff.
