WE ARE UNDERWAY FROM THE SUPERDOME!!!
The Jags will get the ball first after the Saints won the toss and differed.
Lawerence and the offense will start the night from the 25.
Tonight's odds
The Jags might be on a three game win streak, but New Orleans is a 2.5 point favorites at home tonight with the Over/Under set at 41.
The Saints have yet to put it together in the red zone, but they have been moving the ball. I think Alvin Kamara has a big day and the Saints get a big win at home.
28-17 Saints win.
Jags bad spell in NO
It’s bene a rough go for the Jags in New Orleans since the franchise started up in the mid 90s. This is just their fourth trip to the Big Easy, but they have lost to the Saints on each of their first three trips to the Super Dome, and lost their last two games their by a total of 28 points. To add insult to injury, Trevor Lawrence’s only losses in college came at the Super Dome. His Clemson Tigers fell to LSU 42-25 in the 2019 championship game, and then lost 49-28 to Ohio State in semifinal just a year after. Tonight the Jags and their QB look to reverse the bad juju in the bayou.

The Great Wall of the Bayou
It goes without saying that the Saints defense has saved New Orleans through the first third of the season. It’s not easy to win football games when you can’t score more than 20 points in a game, but somehow this no name defense has been wreaking havoc on opponents offenses. They are fifth in total defense and sixth agains the pass. They have eight picks on the year which is good enough for a tie for second most in the league. Tonight, they will look to create plenty of problems for Trevor Lawrence and the Jags.

The original JA
He hates to be referred to as “the other Josh Allen” and if he continues to play as he has been in the first six weeks of the season we might end up calling the Bills QB “the other Josh Allen” The Jags EDGE rusher is one of the most underrated, below the radar superstars in this league. This guy belongs in the same discussion as Micah Parsons, Myles Garrett, TJ Watt and the Bosa Brothers. He is just as much of a game changers and though six games he already has 7 sacks and two forced fumbles. He started the campaign off with 10 tackles and 3 sacks against the Indianapolis Colts and had another three sack game with a forced fumble in London against the Falcons. Last week he had the deciding play late in the game to stretch the Jags win streak to three games.

Big time in the Big Easy
Derek Carr was supposed to be the cure to all of the Saints problems post Drew Brees quarterback issues. He had a nice career with the Raiders but could never get that team to the next level. The change was welcomed both by Carr and the Raiders, and the Saints were willing recipients of the veteran quarterback. It hasn’t been the dream start for Carr and the NO offense, who have only scored more than 20 points in one game, but the Saints are 3-3 and this is with Carr fighting through a sprained AC Joint he suffered in a game against the Packers. He has just five TDs and three INTs through the first six games of the season, but tonight could be the night that everything starts to click on the offensive side of the ball.

Captain Swag a go for tonight
At the end of the Jags 37-20 win over the Colts, Trevor Lawrence was hit and suffered a sprained knee that had him questionable coming into tonight’s game on a short week. The former Clemson QB has yet to hit stride this season, with just two multi TD games and one 300 yard game. He does have 7 TDs and only 3 INTs this year, but has admitted at various times this year that the offense is yet to get clicking and if wasn’t for the Jags dominant defense this Jags might not be at the top of the AFC and just a game behind the leaders of the conference.

Saints last week
New Orleans had no problems moving the ball against the Texans last week in Houston. Derek Carr had 353 yards, and Alvin Kamara had 68 of the 89 rushing yards. The problem came when the Saints got into the red zone. They went 0-3 once they entered the 20, which shouldn’t be too surprising considering they are one of the worst red zone offenses in the league, scoring TDs on just 37% of their trips. Despite their problems crossing the goal line, they still had a chance to tie the game up but Derek Carr’s 4th and 10 pass from the HOU 24 was picked off by Steven Nelson.

Jags last week
Jacksonville might have posted 37 points, but don’t be mistaken. That scoreline is largely attributed to their defense, which forced four turnovers against the Colts. Gardner Minshew was picked off three times, and the Josh Allen forced another fumble late in a game that Trevor Lawrence only had 181 yards passing, but did go for two TDs and an INT. Travis Etienne had a below average day in terms of yards per carry, going for 55 yards on 18 carries but got into the end zone twice as the Jags cruised to their third straight victory.

We are live from the Superdome
Hello everyone and welcome to New Orleans where the Saints are still looking to get back on track after losing three of their last four. If they are going to turn the tides in the Big Easy, then their offense is going to have to come to life. The Jags have had their struggles on the offensive end, but that hasn’t slowed them down over the last few weeks. They won both of their games in London and came back to get a big division win over the Colts to take hold of first place in the AFC South. Tonight the Jags look to extend their streak to four games and get their win in New Orleans in franchise history.
