Update:

NFL player Jake McQuaide was escorted out of an Ohio Catholic Church by police at the weekend after publicly hitting out over an alleged pornography scandal.

The ex-Los Angeles Rams long snapper stood up in his pew during Mass and vented his fury at Jason Williams, chancellor of the Cincinnati Archdiocese. McQuaide confronted Williams, who had just finished reading a letter from Archbishop Robert Casey denying controversy at the parish, over rumors two priests had viewed pornorgaphy on a parish computer. The 37-year-old was swiftly removed from the church by police officers.

McQuiade questions Cincinnati chancellor

A video obtained by Cincinnati news station WCPO shows McQuaide loudly questioning the chancellor.

We want to put the rumors to rest. Can you answer this for me, fact or fiction?” McQuiade demands.

“This is not the time for this,” responded someone at the altar.

“I’m sorry, sir, this is the time and the place,“ bit back the football player. “I will stand up. Did the priest use our parish computer to look at pornography? True or false? True or false?”

Despite being escorted out of the sanctuary, McQuiade wasn’t charged by police.

After spending nine years with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams, the two-time Pro Bowl has also played for the Dallas Cowboys, the Detroit Lions, the Minnesota Vikings and the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. He is currently a free agent after leaving the Dolphins at the end of the 2024 season.
