Update:

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was forced to leave the game against the Washington Commanders due to a concussion. The incident occurred late in the first half when Hurts took a hard hit while attempting a third-and-goal play from Washington’s 3-yard line. After the play, Hurts was slow to get up and was subsequently taken to the medical tent for evaluation.

Despite the setback, the QB tried to comeback to play but the medical staff didn’t clear him and he had to be talen to the locker room and is yet to be seen if he will return to the game.

The growing concern for concussion among quarterbacks

Hurts’ injury highlights the ongoing concerns about player safety in the NFL, particularly regarding concussions. As the Eagles tackle the rest of the game they will be missing their star player.

The incident serves as a reminder of the physical toll the sport takes on its players and the importance of rigorous health protocols.
