Update:

NFL head coaching legend and long-time sports analyst for Fox Sports Jimmy Johnson has announced his retirement from Fox after 31 years covering the NFL.

31 years of sports coverage

The 81-year-old was the first head football coach to win both a college football national championship and a Super Bowl (with the University of Miami and the Dallas Cowboys). He worked with Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, and Micahel Strahan at Fox Sports.

He announced his retirement during an appearance on “The Herd With Colin Cowherd” on Monday.

“The most fun I ever had in my career, that’s counting Super Bowls and national championships, was at Fox Sports,” said Johnson. “But I’ve made an extremely difficult decision.”
