How long is Joe Mixon’s contract with the Houston Texans?
Mixon’s contract with the Texans is for three years and is worth $25.5 million. That includes a $6 million signing bonus which will be paid in three installments during each of the three years of the deal plus $16 million guaranteed. His average annual salary is $8.5 million and this season, he will take home a base salary of $3 million while carrying a cap hit of $5.5 million and a dead cap value of $13 million.

An ankle injury suffered in the Week 2 win over the Chicago Bears kept him sidelined for almost a month but he returned stronger than ever, rushing for 100+ yards in the next four games (102 vs the Patriots, 115 vs Green Bay, 102 vs the Colts and 106 against the Jets). He was unable to extend his run to five games - which would have been a franchise first.
