Jordan Mason’s contract details: Salary and years left with the 49ers
The 25-year-old running back joined the San Francisco 49ers in 2022 after playing with Georgia Tech.
With Christian McCaffrey still sidelined through injury in week one of the 2024 NFL season, Mason replaced the 28-year-old in the starting lineup and ran for 147 yards and one touchdown in a win for the 49ers against the New York Jets.
The 49ers were on the losing side in week two of the season falling to Minnesota Vikings with the former Georgia Tech player once again acquitted himself with distinction.
McCaffrey has missed both of the 49ers’ games so far in the 2024 regular season, with the franchise placing him on its injured reserve list (IR) ahead of their Week 2 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday.
Under NFL rules, players must remain on the IR for a minimum of four games, so the earliest McCaffrey could return to action is the 49ers’ Week 6 match-up with the Seattle Seahawks on October 10 which presents Mason with a window of opportunity.
Mason’s deal with the 49ers
Jordan Mason signed a 3 year deal worth $2,570,000 with the San Francisco 49ers on 2 May, 2022 and this contract runs through the 2024-25 season and has an average annual value of $856,667. The deal also came with a $10,000 signing bonus and $40,000 guaranteed.
The 49ers are next in action this weekend against LA Rams with the game set for Sunday 22 September.
