Justin Tucker contract details: what’s his salary with the Ravens and how many years are left?

Justin Tucker hasn’t worked out the “technique issues” that have been haunting him all season, but the Ravens hope he will before the end his contract.

For as many games as Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker can be credited for winning for the Ravens, Sunday’s Week 11 game is not one of them. In fact, in their 18-16 loss to AFC North rival Pittsburgh Steelers, Tucker missed two of his three field goal tries, from 47 and 50 yards. To state the obvious, if he’d made them, the Ravens would have won. And they would have taken over as the leaders of the division.

As it stands, Tucker is struggling. He’s having one of his worst career seasons so far. This kind of game is extremely unusual for Tucker, who holds the record for the longest field goal made in NFL history (66 yards).

The 34-year-old kicker is in his 13th season in the league, but he still has a few to go, so the Ravens will be hoping to see him nip these issues in the bud, and soon.

Tucker’s contract with the Ravens

Although he’s having a bad season, Tucker remains one of the best kickers in the league and even NFL history. Of 460 field goal tries in his career, Tucker has missed just 49. He has more first-team All-Pro honors than any other kicker and he’s tied with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill for fifth-most first-team All-Pro nominations in NFL history.

Because of his success, the Ravens gave Tucker a contract extension in 2022 that made him the highest-paid kicker in the NFL at that time (Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has since taken over that title with an average annual salary of $6.4 million and Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott has tied Tucker for second).

Tucker signed a four-year, $24 million contract extension with $17.5 million guaranteed, with an average annual salary of $ 6 million.

Because his previous contract ran through the 2023-24 season, Tucker is set to stay in Baltimore through 2027. However, he has an out in the contract after the 2025-26 season if he chooses to test unrestricted free agency.
