We are just three weeks away from the start of the 2025-26 NFL season! Like last year, Week 1 of this season will feature an international game in São Paulo, Brazil.
This time, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers facing off at Corinthians Arena on Friday, September 5, and the game will be streamed for free worldwide on YouTube and YouTube TV. Plus, there will be a special halftime performance headlined by Grammy-winning global superstar Karol G.

Karol G headlines YouTube’s first NFL game broadcast from Brazil
This marks the first time the NFL will stream a game live and for free exclusively on YouTube. The pre-show starts at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. BRT (local), with kickoff set for one hour later. And of course, Karol G’s halftime show will be at the end of the second quarter.
As the NFL expands its reach across the globe, they are excited about the opportunity to promote the Latino culture.
“Our goal is to highlight the excitement and Americana of the NFL, but do this thoughtfully in a way that plays to local cultures, practices and traditions,” said Tim Tubito, senior director of global game presentation and entertainment at the NFL.
Karol G called the opportunity a perfect match with her recent album “Tropicoqueta”, which celebrates Latin culture.
“This year has been truly rewarding, and the timing of this opportunity - to be part of such an important moment like YouTube’s first-ever NFL live broadcast - is perfect,” said Karol G in statement. “With my latest album ‘Tropicoqueta,’ I set out to represent the many facets of my Latin culture, something I’m incredibly passionate about in everything I do. I’m excited to bring that same energy and pride to this global stage and honored to continue elevating Latin culture on such a monumental platform.”
NFL and YouTube executives echoed the excitement, calling the event a historic moment that blends sports, music, and global culture. The performance and game are part of the NFL’s growing international outreach, especially in South America, where football and fandom are on the rise.
