Estados Unidos Update:

The Dallas Cowboys were in urgent need of reinforcements on the offensive line after Tyler Guyton suffered a knee fracture, sidelining him for approximately six weeks. In response, the front office acted swiftly, signing La’el Collins, marking the return of the prodigal son after three seasons away from the team.

Collins back for the third time

The signing came after Collins impressed in a workout, showing up 25 pounds lighter and in noticeably better shape. The Cowboys officially announced the move, though they did not disclose salary details or contract length. Initial reports suggest it’s likely a veteran minimum deal, and the team will need to release a player to make room on the roster

This will be the offensive lineman’s third stint with the Cowboys. The first was from 2015 to 2021, and the second took place in January 2024, but as a member of the practice squad and didn’t play a single snap.

Collins has not played since 2022

The biggest concern with La’el Collins is simple: he hasn’t played a regular-season NFL snap since 2022. That year, while suiting up for the Cincinnati Bengals, the LSU alum suffered a devastating knee injury—tearing multiple ligaments in Week 16. The Bengals released him ahead of the 2023 season, and his career entered a holding pattern.

The tackle later signed with the Bills in 2024 and was with the Buffalo team during training camp. Unfortunately, he was released before the regular season began.
