Lamar Jackson lashes out after injured exit in Ravens loss
The Baltimore Ravens quarterback was taken off with a back injury on Sunday night, a major blow for the team as they hunt a postseason spot.

Sunday, December 21 may well have been a major turning point in the Baltimore Ravens’ 2025 season.
The team suffered a 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots, falling two wins behind the Pittsburgh Steelers at the top of the AFC North. Just as crucial, potentially, was an injury to quarterback Lamar Jackson, who was forced to exit the game shortly before halftime.
Jackson picked up a lower back injury last in the second quarter, taking a knee to the back from Craig Woodson as he went to ground. Speaking after the game, Jackson was unhappy with the nature of the contact.

“It’s BS, bro,” Jackson said, according to the Ravens website. “I can’t control that. I’m on the ground. I’m down. I gave myself up. I got kneed in the back. ... [I’m] getting injured, and then we’re fighting for a chance to make the playoffs. I can’t finish the game with my guys. It’s BS.”
Jackson did not emerge from the locker room at the start of the second half and he was officially ruled out midway through the third quarter. He later revealed that he received a shot of Toradol in the locker room but was in too much pain to continue.
“It’s a bruise of some kind,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said after the game. “I don’t know how serious he’ll be. We’ll have to find out in the next couple of days.”
The Ravens quarterback will get more testing done on Monday as the Ravens race to get him fit for Sunday’s must-win game against the Green Bay Packers. Baltimore know that they need a win to keep their postseason dreams alive but face a tough test on the road at Lambeau Field.
