Will Prescott make his case for MVP tonight?
The Cowboys quarterback leads the league with 30 passing touchdowns for 3,892 yards and seven interceptions. After the last two losses at Buffalo and Miami, however, Prescott's chances at winning MVP have been getting slimmer. That could change depending on how he plays tonight at home against a winning team.
Cowboys player to watch: CeeDee Lamb
The Dallas receiver has had an incredible season, with an NFL high 109 catches so far.
Tonight, he has the chance to break the single-season franchise record in catches, currently held by Michael Irvin with 111. He's also gaining on Irvin's record yardage with 1,424. Irvin's franchise record is 1,603.
If he scores a touchdown tonight, it will make eight straight games scoring a TD, something no other Cowboys receiver has ever done.

Can the Lions do what no team has done since Week 1 of 2022?
If the Lions beat the Cowboys tonight in Arlington, they'll be the first team to do so since the Cowboys lost to Tom Brady's Buccaneers in the 2022 season opener.
The Cowboys are currently on a 15-game winning streak, their longest in 42 years. They have outscored their opponents at AT&T Stadium 279-108 this season. If they manage to go 8-0 at home with a win tonight, it will be just the third time in franchise history, the last two occurring in 1980 and 1981.
Detroit is 6-2 on the road. Will they be the team to break Dallas' streak?
Cowboys and Lions - what's at stake and where do they stand in Week 17?
The Dallas Cowboys (10-5) are hoping to break a two-game losing streak and remain in hopes of taking the NFC East title back from Philadelphia. They already clinched their spot in the playoffs but need to win out to win the division.
The Detroit Lions (11-4) already clinched the NFC North title last week with their win over the Vikings on Christmas Eve - for the first time in 30 years. The Lions would also love to win out in order to clinch the NFC, but like the Cowboys, they'll be rooting for Philly to lose, plus the Niners too in order to achieve that.
Good evening, everyone and welcome to our LIVE text coverage of the NFC showdown between the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys tonight!
Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. ET from AT&T Stadium and we'll be here to bring you all the latest scores, stats, highlights, and commentary.
