Dolphins vs Eagles: The lay of the land

Both Miami and Philly are among the most potent offenses of the 2023-24 NFL season so far. Where the home side is concerned, this season has once again been all about Jalen Hurts. The 25-year-old continues to shine both through the air and on the ground as he’s now gone past 300 yards on several occasions for the campaign so far. That’s not to say Hurts is the only reason the Eagles are looking like contenders once again this season. Just ask the Rams’ Matthew Stafford who was sacked four times when the teams met in Week 5 despite seeing the return of his star wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

As for the Dolphins, how can we not talk about the demolition of the Denver Broncos? Yes, it was back in Week 3 and a lot has happened since then, but rest assured the team that put 70 on the board against Sean Payton’s men is very much the same one that’s going to face the Eagles. At the center of it all has been Tua Tagovailoa, but there’s no way that we can avoid mentioning wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle who have put incredible numbers on the board. Truth be told, this is a hard one to call as we expect these teams to go at it tooth and nail.

Dolphins vs Eagles: The Prediction

Though the Dolphins actually have the edge when it comes to the all-time record at 9-6, we’re going to give the Eagles the edge in this one. Playing at home will offer a decent platform from which to operate, but truth be told it’s the Eagles’ defense that will likely be the difference in this one. It’s obvious that both offenses are stacked, but Philly has proven that they are as solid as they come when it comes to defending the air, something that has proven complicated for the Dolphins at times this season.
