Micah Parsons throws subtle dig at Cowboys in praise of Packers teammates
The defensive star raves about Green Bay’s locker room culture, hinting at what he didn’t find in Dallas.

Micah Parsons continues to dominate NFL headlines more than a week after his shock trade from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers.
The 26-year-old joined Green Bay on a record four-year, $188 million contract that includes $136 million guaranteed. His new average salary of $47 million per season makes him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
Will Micah Parsons play for the Packers against the Lions in Week 1?
However, the Packers may have to go easy on their new superstar in the early part of the season, starting with Sunday’s Week 1 clash at the Detroit Lions.
Speaking to the media after practice on Thursday, the defensive end said it was “completely up to the coaches” whether he would make his debut this weekend. Parsons missed all of training camp in Dallas due to a contract dispute with the Cowboys and has also been dealing with a back injury.
He has, however, taken part in practice every day this week, albeit with limited involvement. It has been suggested Parsons may receive a pregame injection to play a few snaps in Detroit before the Week 2 matchup against the Washington Commanders on Thursday, September 11.
Parsons praises locker room in Green Bay
In addition to discussing his fitness, Parsons praised his new Green Bay teammates’ dedication, indirectly highlighting differences from his time in Dallas.
“I’ve never been in a locker room with guys like this,” Parsons said at a press conference. “I came in Tuesday for treatment and I saw almost every guy in the locker room. I said, ‘This is the first time I’ve ever seen this.’ That just shows how much these guys want to be here.”
When will Parsons and the Packers play the Cowboys?
If he is fit, Parsons will return to Dallas for the first time with the Packers in Week 4, when the two teams meet at AT&T Stadium on Sunday, September 28.
