Mike Vrabel is addressing a situation involving one of his players after a social media post sparked widespread attention this week.

Vrabel: “There is a fine line”
Ivey was waived by the Bulls following a series of controversial social media videos. In one widely circulated clip, Ivey criticized the NBA’s support of Pride Month, calling it a celebration of what he described as “unrighteousness”. The video quickly went viral and drew significant backlash, prompting the Bulls to part ways with the 24-year-old guard, citing conduct detrimental to the team.
Henderson later shared that same video with a Bible verse from Matthew 5:10: "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Vrabel took a measured approach when asked about the situation, emphasizing both personal expression and team responsibility.
“I think there is a fine line,” Vrabel said. “I love TreVeyon… He cares deeply about his faith, his family, and the people in our building.”
At the same time, Vrabel made clear that the organization values inclusivity.
“We want them to be able to express what they believe… but also want to make sure that they’re educated. And we want to be inclusive.”
Vrabel noted that situations like this are part of ongoing conversations within the team.
“We’re never going to tell them how to feel,” he said. “But we want to make sure they understand that their actions represent something more than just themselves.”
The Patriots coach added that maintaining that balance between personal beliefs and representing the organization is something the team regularly addresses. Henderson, coming off a strong rookie season, has been a key contributor for New England after helping the team reach the Super Bowl.
