Ohio State Highway Patrol officials have confirmed that Myles Garrett has been hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries following a single-car accident on Monday afternoon.

The Cleveland Browns defensive end was travelling home from practice in Berea, Ohio on Monday afternoon when he crashed his 2021 Porsche. The accident happened on the southbound lane of State Road near Sharon Copley Road in Wadsworth, Ohio. Police reported that there was also a female passenger in the car with Garrett.

The reports say that the Porsche exited the right side of the road and flipped over several times at around 3 p.m. Both Garrett and his passenger were taken to a nearby hospital and it is reported that both were wearing seatbelts.

Happily, police report that neither drugs nor alcohol were involved and that Garrett’s injuries were “minor”, although he may face traffic charges pending a full investigation. All things considered, that is a trade-off that Garrett will happily take.

The Cleveland Browns released a statement confirming the above details, but declining to indicate whether or not this will affect his playing status next Sunday in Atlanta.

Hugely popular with the dog pound faithful, Garrett will have the support of the entire Cleveland community as he recovers and returns to action.
