New England Patriots’ complete 53-man roster for the 2025 season

It’s a new era in New England. With a second year quarterback and a new head coach on the sidelines the Pats are looking to make a playoff run for the first time since the 2021 season.

The Vrable era begins

The Pats went 4-13 last year, and it was a season full of rough moments but there was an occasional play here and there that gave New England fans reason to believe in a brighter future. Drake Maye was one of those reasons to believe despite being surrounded by one of the worst offensive casts in the league last year.

The rookie quarterback sat out the first few weeks of the season but he was given the keys to the car by head coach Jerod Mayo in Week 6. With a barely existent running game and a receiving corp that was short on downfield threats Maye was limited in what he was able to do, but there was plenty of potential shown from the former third overall draft pick.

This season the Pats have Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins as added weapons on the outside, with a running back duo of Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson in the backfield. There is certainly more firepower on the offensive end, and the defense should be much better now that legendary linebacker Mike Vrable was hired as the new head coach in Foxborough.
