New York Giants 13-28 Dallas Cowboys, The Cowboys hold firm against a decent Giants effort, summary: score, stats, highlights | NFL Week 8
Cowboys for the win
Though they were definitely favored heading into this one, it took almost three quarters before the Cowboys began to show the gulf in class between themselves and the visiting New York Giants.
With both teams on 7 - 3 before the game kicked off, it was always going to be a gritty affair, but what we didn't expect is that a team known for their run game would actually provide some of the bigger moments of the night in the air. Indeed, Giants QB Daniel Jones provide some stellar passes on the night, but unfortunately he just couldn't inspire his team to a win.
Where the Cowboys are concerned, where should we begin? Dak Prescott was as calm as ever in the pocket and on many an occasion found Ceedee Lamb who provided the highlight of the night with an unreal one-handed catch. There was also the dual effect of RBs Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard. Last but not least there was the ever dangerous Micah Parsons who got himself a brutal sack on the night.
In the end the Cowboys will go to 8-3 with their 28-13 win, while the Giants will fall to 7-4.
The Cowboys recover the Giants' onside kick attempt and will see out the clock. That's a wrap. The Cowboys are now 8-3 while the Giants drop to 7-4.
Cowboys call a timeout, which suggests they are very conscious of the possibility for something unexpected here. Can the Giants make a play off of an onside kick?
Giants score on a nice play out wide and they will have their field goal, but there's 8 seconds left in this game. Can the Giants pull off some kind of dramatic finish here?

A crafty play to Brightwell who also manages to stretch his arm into the end zone after being tackled.
Parsons gets called for a personal foul and half the distance to the goal. 1st 10
After a quick snap the Giants have a 9-yard gain, but with the clock now on 1 minute it's pretty clear this is going to be a loss. They'll remain in the playoff picture with a 7-4 record following this game, but it goes without saying: This is not ideal.
Brett Maher has stepped up for a field goal, but it misses. The Giants will take over but the score is 28-13 and there is 1:13 on the clock.
Following yet another run from Elliot, there's no gain, but we've just hit the 2 minute warning. Barring something we've never seen, the Cowboys are going to win this game.
Elliot once again for a small gain. We're at a 2nd down now.
After going with Elliot once again the Cowboys have setup different for their 3rd down. Lamb almost hauls in another one-hander but in the end there is a flag on the play.
Dallas is at the 38 and we;re off and running with Elliot attempting to break through. There's no gain.

4th quarter coming
The 3rd quarter is over and the score stays the same. We've got the 4th quarter coming and the Cowboys lead 21 - 13. Can the Giants turn this around? If they're to make a go of it, they'll need QB Daniel Jones to connect on more of those simple plays that he's missed.
While it's clear that New York's run game is special, the reality is the Cowboys have dealt relatively well with it. The Giants will need to switch things up if they're going to get back into this one.
The Giants go with Brightwell again, but he's only able to get a yard at best. 2nd & 10
We've got 1:14 left in the 3rd quarter and it appears that Kearse is having some difficulty. He is, however, able to walk off the field on his own steam which is a good sign.
Following a 15-yard gain from RB Gary Brightwell, he follows it up with another decent carry. 1st and 10 once again!

The Giants are getting ready
The Giants' players know what's at stake tonight. The question is can they rise to the occasion? Though both teams are locked on 7-3 in the NFC East, they are most definitely on different ends of the spectrum at the moment,.

It's almost game time!
With less than half hour to kickoff, the players are on the field and the crowd is getting hyped. It's the New York Giants on the road in Dallas where they will face the Cowboys.
With both teams on 7-3 in the NFC East, this is most definitely a big game. The Cowboys are red hot at the moment, but are definitely hindered coming into this one by injuries. The Giants on the other hand - despite their record - are definitely struggling.
Brett Maher is getting ready!
The Cowboys kicker recently broke his own field goal record, as if he needed to do that in order to show he's the best in the business. We're as excited as you Brett!

Adding another piece of intrigue to this clash between two playoff contenders from the NFC East, the prolific WR recently disclosed that he's going to spend time with both camps. On the one side, it's the Cowboys. They need no introduction. On the other, you've got OBJ's former team and one in which he still has close friends. Could the result of tonight's game affect his final decision on where he plays next?
Do the Giants have the key?
While Saquon Barkley is clearly a weapon that should be used, the truth is the Giants are facing a Cowboys team that is starting to find its feet and more over are playing some stellar football. Defense will be the difference maker no matter how you cut it.
Cargando...
Does he have a point?
To hear Smith tell it, a loss to the Giants would be nothing short of a Thanksgiving disaster and in truth, the Cowboys are the team with post season ambitions that even owner Jerry Jones has made clear. On the other hand, we're betting that the Giants will have something to say about that.

A Jets fan perhaps?
With both teams tied for second in the NFC East and sitting on a 7-3 record behind the Philadelphia Eagles who are on a record of 9-1, you can imagine there are some who won't be happy to see either of them pick up a win tonight. With that said, somebody's going to be left standing when that final whistle goes, it's just a question of who and in what condition.
