NFL announces Snoop Dogg to headline Halftime Show

After the success of last year’s Christmas broadcasts, the NFL is remaining on Netflix for the 2025 festive season.

There will be two NFL regular season games shown live on Netflix on December 25, available to view for subscription holders around the world for no extra cost. This year’s Netflix games are Cowboys - Commanders at 1pm ET, followed by Lions - Vikings at 4:30pm ET.

For many people the Detroit Lions’ trip to the Minnesota Vikings will come at the perfect time for some Christmas Day entertainment and there will be a big name in attendance. On Tuesday it was announced that Snoop Dogg will be the headline performer at for the Christmas 2025 Halftime Show.

Snoop Dogg is a long-time football fan, with his own youth league showing his commitment to the sport. His participation in the game was announced with a characteristically enigmatic video released by Netflix, promising a big holiday show.

“NFL, Netflix, and your Uncle Snoop on Christmas Day?” Snoop begins. “We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy. That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”

“Christmas Gameday just got a whole lot cooler,” Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, added. “We’re uniting two global cultural juggernauts, the NFL and the one and only Snoop Dogg, who will drop the hottest halftime show. As a West Coast girl and huge fan myself, I can confidently say this is the ultimate gift we could give our members. We’re ready to drop it like it’s hot with this holiday celebration!”
