This Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions will face each other in the Divisional round match at Ford Field. The stakes are high, as the winner of this matchup will advance to the NFC Championship Game.

The Buccaneers have put in a tremendous effort to get to this point, having turned their season around in December, similar to the Packers. They have won six of their last seven games, demonstrating exceptional form and impressive teamwork.

Conversely, the Detroit Lions have been nothing short of inspiring. They are on a comeback journey of epic proportions, having made it to the Divisional Round of the playoffs for the first time in over three decades. Their resurgence began midway through last season, and they have since won 21 out of their previous 28 games.

The Lions’ success is due in no small part to the leadership of their Head Coach, Dan Campbell. He has instilled a gritty, determined attitude in the team, and they have embraced it wholeheartedly. Detroit fans acknowledged it, and their passion for the team grew more assertive.

2023-24 NFL season: Week 6

In the sixth week of the regular season, the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced off against each other. The Lions traveled to Tampa and came away with a 20-6 victory. On the other hand, the Buccaneers were left frustrated by their mistakes, including an interception by quarterback Baker Mayfield and missed opportunities for big plays.

Although the Buccaneers had a solid start to the season, they were held to their lowest point total in this game. It was also the only game where Mayfield threw no touchdowns and an interception.

The offensive spotlight of the game was on Lions’ quarterback Jared Goff, who finished the game with 353 passing yards and two touchdowns in 30 of 44 attempts. Goff made one big-time throw that was pending review.

On the other hand, the defensive spotlight belonged to Buccaneers’ linebacker Lavonte David. David recorded 12 combined tackles, which was the highest for both teams. He also had one sack, one pass defended, and two tackles for loss, making him the game’s standout defensive player. David made a game-high six stops, which helped to prevent the Lions from scoring more points.
