The top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles and the No. 6-seeded New York Giants get ready to play it out this Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia.

The pair of NFC East rivals already played each other twice this season, with Philadelphia winning both.

What happened between the Giants and Eagles in the 2022 regular season?

Their first game was during Week 14, when the Eagles won the Giants 48-22 on Dec. 11. Four weeks later, they met again in Week 18 in a 22-16 victory by Philly.

With that win, the Eagles became 2022 NFC East Champions and clinched the No. 1 seed earning the conference’s lone bye- for the first time since their only Super Bowl victory in 2017.

Jalen Hurts was able to be there for his team despite struggling with an injury, and the Eagles played it cool with their starting quarterback; even though he was not in his best form, they got him back in the rhythm of the game, earned the victory, and exited the game healthy.

Jake Elliott, however, looked in great shape. He opened the scoring with a 32-yard field goal with about 11:00 left in the first quarter to make it 3-0; the Eagles went 51 yards in seven plays. Elliott then extended his own franchise record by scoring a second field goal from 52 yards out. The 27-year-old placekicker wasn’t done yet; he went on to hit his third field goal of the game from 39 yards out to make it 16-0. It was Elliott’s first three FG matchup of the season.

The Giants and Eagles have met only four previous times in the postseason, but each game has been a memorable one.
