NFL playoff implications in Week 14: which teams can clinch or be eliminated
As we head into Week 14, two teams have clinched a playoff berth and four have been eliminated. Here are the teams whose fates could be decided this week.
The Kansas City Chiefs were the first to clinch a spot in the NFL postseason (and No. 1 in the AFC West) with an ugly win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Black Friday. The Buffalo Bills followed, clinching their own spot as well as the AFC East division with their win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football.
Four teams have now been eliminated from playoff contention as well: The New York Giants, New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Week 14 comes with implications of its own. Let’s have a look at some scenarios that could clinch or eliminate teams from the playoffs.

There are three teams which can clinch a playoff in Week 14: The Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, and Philadelphia Eagles.

There is one team which can be eliminated this week, and that’s the 3-9 Carolina Panthers. They would be knocked out of the race if they lose to the Eagles and the Falcons lose to the Vikings.
