Update:

Through the off season, there have been persistent rumors that Mac Jones may be heading to pastures new, lured away from New England by a number of suitors. Well, that chatter has now grown louder and more pointed, naming specifically Las Vegas as the team showing hard interest in the 24-year-old quarterback.

Since Derek Carr’s parting ways with the organization, the Raiders are shopping around and have confirmed that they are “not going to be in on the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes,” leaving few options for them in the league. They could pursue Jimmy Garoppolo, even if they draft a quarterback, and reports are that Mac Jones is near the top of their wish list.

Raiders GM Dave Ziegler was previously in the New England front office and knows Jimmy G well. They could be looking to do a two-fer in grabbing Jones and Garoppolo, and there are reports of a fracture in the Bill Belichick-Mac Jones relationship that could leave the door open for such a move.

Robert Kraft has reportedly said that he would trade Jones “over my dead body” so this could all just be the rumor mill grinding its gears. The feeling is that Kraft is a businessman and would entertain offers, but that the price would probably include that first round pick that Las Vegas have.
