It’s the final chance NFL teams to stack up their roster for the final half of the season. Some teams are contenders looking for that missing link that will help them in their playoff push and beyond, while other struggling teams look towards the future as they wheel and deal for draft picks.

Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET marked the end of the trade deadline that saw some star names on the move. Christian McCaffery was shipped off to San Francisco and made an has made an immediate impact in the Bay. Kansas City’s offense got even more dynamic with the addition of Kadrius Toney and the Eagles got another big body for their defensive line when they traded a fourth round draft pick to Chicago for Robert Quinn.

There were a few deals done on the final day of the trade market, the biggest of which was involved Bradley Chubb who is headed to Miami after Denver worked out of deal for the linebacker. These are all the headline trades on deadline day, in case you missed them.

Calvin Ridley, from Atlanta to Jacksonville

Jacksonville gets: Calvin Ridley and a fifth round draft pick

Atlanta gets: conditional 5th round pick in 2023 and conditional 2nd round pick in 2024

The suspended wide receiver is headed south after Atlanta reached a deal to send Ridley to Jacksonville. Ridley has not played a game this year after getting suspended for betting on NFL games in 2021. He is suspended for the entire season, so the Jags will be looking towards the future.

Jacob Martin, from New York Jets to Denver

Denver gets: Jacob Martin and a 2024 fifth round draft pick

New York gets: 2024 fourth round draft pick

Martin’s era in New York lasted just eight games. After signing with the Jets in the offseason he struggled to make an impact in the Big Apple and has been sent his marching orders to the Mile High City to help a defense that just lost Bradley Chubb.

Jeff Wilson, from San Francisco to Miami

San Francisco gets: Jeff Wilson

Miami gets: Fifth round draft pick in 2023

With the addition of Christian McCaffery, there was one too many running backs in the backfield in the Bay. Wilson is headed to another team with title hopes in Miami. He has 468 yards and two touchdowns in going into Week 9, and is sure to get plenty fo running room on that Dolphins offensive unit that is loaded with weapons.

Roquan Smith, from Chicago to Baltimore

Baltimore gets: Roquan Smith

Chicago gets: LB AJ Klien, 2023 second round draft pick, and 2023 fifth round draft pick

The Baltimore defense has improved dramatically over the last three games, and the addition of Roquan Smith will only make them better. The linebacker made 83 tackles and had two interceptions with the Bears and will be welcomed with open arms in Baltimore.

Williams Jackson III

Pittsburgh gets: Williams Jackson III and 2025 conditional 7th round pick

Washington gets: 2025 conditional sixth round pick

Pittsburgh is in the midst of a rebuilding year in the post Ben Roethlisberger era. They have a rookie quarterback, and the reigning Defensive Player of the year sidelined with injury so every bit of depth at any position helps. Jackson was benched in the Commanders loss to the Titans in early October and now looks to set up shop in the Steel City.

Chase Claypool, from Pittsburgh to Chicago

Chicago gets: Chase Claypool

Pittsburgh gets: 2023 second round draft pick

If there was ever a team that needed more weapons on the offensive side of the ball, it’s Chicago. They have actually seen the offense come to life over the last couple weeks, but Claypool is going to five Justin Fields a much needed deep threat for when he scrambles out of the pocket. He had 311 yards and a touchdown with the Steelers this season.

Bradley Chubb, from Denver to Miami

Denver gets: Bradley Chubb and 2025 fifth round pick

Miami gets: RB Chase Edmonds, 2023 first round pick and 2024 fourth round pick

Chubb was the blockbuster of deadline day. The former Broncos linebacker was one of the anchors for the Denver defense that has kept the team alive after a dreadful offensive start this season. Chubb had 26 tackles and 5.5 sacks for Denver’s defense this year.

T.J. Hockenson, from Detroit to Minnesota

Minnesota gets: T.J. Hockenson, 2023 fourth round pick and 2024 conditional fourth round pick

Detroit gets: 2023 second round pick and 2024 third round pick

The Vikings made a deal with their NFC North rival the Detroit Lions, trading for the tight end and adding another pass catcher to an already rolling offensive side. Kirk Cousins now has a steady handed, big tight end that will only make a 6-1 Minnesota team even better, especially in the red zone. Hockenson caught 26 passes for 395 yards and three TDs in his time as a Lion this season.
