No more New Heights...for now: Travis Kelce hits pause amid major life shift
As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for training camp, Kelce as well as girlfriend Taylor Swift are stepping away from the spotlight.

The Kansas City Chiefs have their first practice of training camp this Tuesday. And as tight end Travis Kelce returns to the field ahead of the new NFL season, he’ll be taking a break from public life, including his “New Heights” podcast with brother Jason Kelce.
Kelce ends podcast (temporarily) to refocus on football and family
Last season was one of Kelce’s worst career seasons, despite the fact that the Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl. That fact plus their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the championship were enough to convince him to play for at least another year.
He attributed his down year partially to off-field distractions. So now that training camp is approaching, Kelce is taking a break from his “New Heights” podcast to focus on football and get back to his peak form.
The last episode will be on Wednesday, July 23 with no return date yet revealed.
“Travis is going to training camp,” said Jason Kelce of their decision to paude the podcast. “It’s nearly impossible to do a podcast while somebody’s in training camp.”
At the same time, Kelce’s standing by Taylor Swift, whose father, Scott Swift, recently underwent successful quintuple bypass surgery. He aims to provide support to her and her family as her father recovers. The move signals Kelce’s commitment to both football and family, as he works to reset for the 2025 NFL season.
