No Tom Brady? These are the announcers for Seahawks vs Patriots Super Bowl LX game

The broadcast team is gearing up for this year’s Super Bowl but NFL legend Tom Brady won’t be providing his insight this year. Here’s why.

Super Bowl LX
Update:

The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will face off in Super Bowl LX on February 8 in Santa Clara, California.

This year’s edition blends the biggest spectacle in American football with a heavy dose of cultural and political significance. Beyond the battle on the field, the event will also be defined by a highly anticipated halftime show headlined by Bad Bunny with Green Day, Brandi Carlile and Coco Jones also appearing.

But US President Donald Trump, who attended last year’s final between the Chiefs and the Eagles, will be giving it a miss this year. “It’s just too far away. I would. I’ve great hands at the Super Bowl. They like me,” Trump said, adding that he is not a big fan of some of the halftime show acts.

How will be the play-by-play announcers at Super Bowl LX?

Mike Tirico will be calling the game in NBC’s live coverage. He will be joined in the booth by his regular Sunday Night Football analyst, Cris Collinsworth. Tirico has covered several Super Bowls in the past but this will be the first time that he has been designated play-by-play duties on the big day.

The NBC team is completed by sideline reporters Melissa Stark and Kaylee Hartung and rules analyst Terry McAulay.

Why won’t Tom Brady be in the booth?

Broadcasting rights for the Super Bowl have been shared since 2023 with four companies taking it in turn to air the event in a four-year rotation. NBC, ABC/ESPN, CBS and FOX take turns televising the big game.

FOX had the honor of airing last year’s game, when Tom Brady accompanied game announcer Kevin Burkhardt as color analyst, alongside sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi, and rules expert Mike Pereira.

It was CBS’ turn the year before, and the 2027 Super Bowl will be covered by ABC/ESPN.
