Hello
Cowboys

Not Jaxson Dart or Will Howard - this is the quarterback the Cowboys are rumored to be interested in for 2025

The Dallas Cowboys, who are in need of a new backup for Dak Prescott after letting Cooper Rush go, are reportedly interested in a second-year quarterback.

Update:

The Dallas Cowboys have their franchise quarterback in Dak Prescott, but behind him on the 2025 depth chart is a big blank space. Since they let Cooper Rush go in free agency to sign with the Baltimore Ravens and Trey Lance also remains a free agent, Dallas has only Will Grier to back up Prescott.

They’re in dire need of a reliable backup for Dak, who missed nearly half the 2024 season with a hamstring injury. Cowboys COO Stephen Jones has said that the team will be looking to the draft for their next backup quarterback, but new rumors look like that could mean in the form of a trade.

Cowboys interested in Patriots QB

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Cowboys might be interested in New England Patriots backup quarterback Joe Milton III as the Pats are exploring trading the second-year player.

Milton III played college football at Michigan and Tennessee and stood out in the NFL Combine for his strong arm. The Patriots drafted him in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 193rd overall.

The 6′5″, 246-pound QB spent his rookie season as the Pats’ QB3 behind Drake Maye and Jacoby Brissett before finally making his debut in Week 18 against the Buffalo Bills. He finished the game with 22-of-29 pass completions for 241 yards, one passing touchdown, and one rushing touchdown, leading the Pats to a 22-16 victory over the Bills.
