The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback shows no signs of slowing down, something that is widely acknowledged.

Patrick Mahomes follows in Lionel Messi’s footsteps
Adidas has secured two of the biggest names in global sport. In 2017, Lionel Messi signed a lifetime contract with the German brand. This Wednesday, November 26, Patrick Mahomes renewed his deal for several more years, keeping the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback – and three-time Super Bowl champion – firmly in the Three Stripes family.
According to the press release issued today, the new agreement gives Mahomes the opportunity to branch into Adidas Golf in the future, though no further details were disclosed.

At 30, Mahomes has reached five Super Bowls, winning three titles – twice against San Francisco and once against Philadelphia – and losing two, to Tampa Bay and the Eagles. He first signed with Adidas in 2017, shortly after joining the Chiefs. His debut training shoe, the Mahomes 1 Impact FLX, launched in 2021, followed by the Mahomes 2 in 2024.
An announcement with legacy written all over it
Messi and Mahomes have starred in multiple Adidas ads, including one that pairs them in a speed-driven treadmill duel. Built around the campaign’s belief that everyone needs someone who makes them believe, the film underscores the idea that no matter how good you are, there is always another level you can reach with the push of those around you.
“Whenever I’m on the field, whether for my club or my country, I feel a deep responsibility to give my best,” Messi told the brand. “Patrick and I come from two different football worlds, but the passion is the same. Knowing that people everywhere are watching us and believing in us drives everything we do.”
“In sports, just like with anything you’re passionate about, the work never stops,” Mahomes said. “But no one succeeds alone. You need people who believe in you and challenge you to be better. It was an honor to team up with Leo for this campaign. It’s a reminder that together we accomplish more than we ever could alone,” added the quarterback.
Mahomes now turns his focus to Thursday’s Thanksgiving Day game, when the Chiefs travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys in a must-win showdown for both teams.
