Patrick Mahomes was forced out of Sunday’s Chiefs vs Chargers game in the fourth quarter after suffering a knee injury. The Kansas City quarterback went down while grabbing at his left knee and did not return to the field, leaving Chiefs fans and analysts waiting for an official update from the team.

Patrick Mahomes injury clouds Chiefs’ loss to Chargers
Mahomes appeared to react immediately to contact before collapsing to the turf, a play that halted momentum for Kansas City in a critical Week 15 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Gardner Minshew came in to replace him and was picked off to end the game in a Kansas City loss and end their postseason hopes.

Before today’s incident, Mahomes had been listed as a full participant on the Chiefs’ Week 15 injury report despite dealing with lingering knee soreness throughout the season.
