Update:

The New England Patriots take on the New York Giants in Monday Night Football this week, looking to cement their place at the top of the AFC East.

The Patriots have looked much improved since the arrival of coach Mike Vrabel, who won three rings with the team as a player. Vrabel was a part of the iconic Patriots dynasty of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and he has been tasked with bringing the good times back to Gillette Stadium.

New England go into Monday’s game with a 10-2 record, knowing that one more victory will take them to a figure not seen since Brady left the team. The 2019 season was the last time that the Patriots recorded 11 or more regular season wins.

For context, that 2019 season was the tenth consecutive year that the Patriots had won at least 11 games in the regular season. Across that decade the all-conquering Patriots won three Super Bowls and lost a further two. With his team flying high Vrabel has got New England believing again, just as he promised he would when he took charge.

I want to galvanize our football team,” Vrabel said at his introduction back in January. “I want to galvanize this building. I want to galvanize our fans.”

“The most important thing are the players. There are some of them right here. I want to provide a program that provides their ownership but also their accountability of each other and one they’ll be proud to be a part of and that they’re gonna fight for.
