Show key events only
Andy Borregales came on to finish the game off with a 52 yard field goal to seal the win in Buffalo. This is a huge win for New England who hadn't won back to back games since 2022. The Bills drop to 4-1 and there are officially no undefeated teams remaining after Week 5.
Maye went toe to toe with Allen under the light from Highmark Stadium. He had the ball last and he called game with some big throws to set up the game winning field goal. He went 22/30 with 273 yards and most importantly lifted his team to above .500.
Kincaid tied the game up with just over 2:00 minutes to go, but that gave New England's second year QB a chance to build a game winning drive, on primetime in the house of a division rival.
The Bill finally started to show a sense of urgency and Allen conducted a rapid fire TD drive that ended with Coleman in the back of the end zone. Allen ended the day with 253 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT on 22/31 passing but it was Drake Maye who make the big plays down the stretch.
Stevenson would walk into the end zone after the Diggs catch and the Pats took a two score lead, but everyone knew Josh Allen would have something to say before the end of the night.
Stefon Diggs had a monster day in the place he used to call home. He came into Buffalo with something to prove and he proved it on Sunday night. He had 10 catches for 146 yards in his return to Ochard Park.
The Bills were driving but Marcus Jones, who had the punt return last week against the Panthers, made the biggest defensive play of the game picking off Allen for the third Bills TO of the night.
The Pats punched right back as Stevenson got into the end zone and began to make amends for his first half fumble. He had just 14 yards on 7 caries, but when the Pats were knocking on the door they went to their finisher.
After a TDless first half, Allen and the Bills came out and marched right down the field. He connected with Curtis Samuel on the opening TD of the game as the Bills went up 10-6.
The Bills had just one turnover over the first four games, but they turned it over twice in the matter of a couple quarters. It was a terrible start but they were in punching distance all night.
On the next play Rhamondre Stevenson gave the ball right back to the Bills. He's had some fumbling issues in the past, but coach Mike Vrable has stuck with his RB and did the same on Sunday night. He would pay his coach back in the form of a couple TD runs later in the game.
The New England Patriots went into the house of the last undefeated team in the league and handed the Buffalo Bills their first loss of the season. It was an ugly game to start and that's exactly what the Pats needed to do to keep the MVP of the NFL out of rhythm.
The Pats defense came to play, but they were gifted a couple turnovers by a Bills team that were uncharacteristically mistake prone. Josh Allen fumbled the handoff to Dawson Knox and that was just the start of an ugly 1st half.

WE ARE UNDERWAY FROM ORCHARD PARK!!!
White out in Ochard Park
As if the Bills needed any other boost tonight, they will be playing with some new threads tonight. It's a White Out in Orchard Park as the Bills debut their Rivalries Game look against the Pats. They are the only remaining undefeated team in the league, and they'll be trying to keep it that way for another week.
Diggs homecoming
He suffered a major knee injury less than a year ago, but the Pats took a chance on him and now he looks like one of Drake Maye’s favorite targets. He’s coming off of his first 100 yard game in New England, and it came at a perfect time a he prepares to take on a team he spent a handful of years with. Things didn’t exactly end in the best of fashions between Diggs and the Bills, so you know he’ll be wanting to have a big night in the place he used to call home.
Allen favorite to repeat as MVP
The reigning MVP of the NFL is back up on the top of the odds makers board to repeat. Like we said, he hasn’t been spectacular three of his first four games, but the Bills are undefeated and Allen has been nearly perfect so far. When he needs to take over a game he does, but when he doesn’t he doesn’t force it. He’s got Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Lama Jackson and Patrick Mahomes chasing him but as long as he keeps doing what he does, he could be well on his way to his 2nd straight MVP.
Allen's offense vs. Vrable's defense
Though four weeks of the season no one has been able to stop the Bills. They are putting points on the board at will, and came into the week 2nd in the league in scoring offense and total yards. They go up against a Pats defense that has been getting better and better every week with coach Mike Vrable at the helm. New England are giving up 20 ppg whlie the Bills are averaging 33 ppg. Something's got to give tonight.
BILLS STAR WATCH
The reigning MVP is back on primetime and ready to put on a show. His MVP season wasn’t his most spectacular year. He’s thrown for more yards and more TDs in his career, but last year it was the way he led the team and the plays he made down the stretch that made the difference and won him the MVP. This year is kind of the same. He exploded for nearly 400 yards in Week 1, but since then his biggest game was against the Dolphins when he threw for 213 yards and 3 TDs. It hasn’t alway been spectacular but it’s been efficient and effective and the Bills are 4-0.
Pats star watch
It was a long and depressing few years that followed Tom Brady’s departure from New England, but it seems like things are finally turning around in Foxborough. Much of that has to do with their second year QB Drake Maye, who at the moment looks like he might just be the best QB taken out of the 2024 Draft. Last year was a modest one. He threw for 2,276 yards and 15 TDs with 10 INTs after getting the keys to the car a few weeks into the season. The team wasn’t very good, so Maye’s numbers weren’t great, but he’s got a better team around him and his numbers have sky rocketed. He’s averaging about 250 yards a game, but where he’s really excelling his completion percentage. He’s completing 74% of his passes which leads the NFL and has 7 TDs with just 2 INTs.
One sided rivalry lately
Ever since Tom Brady left, things have been a little one sided in the AFC East. Josh Allen and the Bills have had a reign of division dominance since the GOAT left the division and that rings true for their rivalry against the Patriots. They have won 7 of their last 10 games, but one of those wins was in Week 18 when the Bills had the one seed wrapped up and sat their starters.
Bills last game
The Bills hosted the Saints from Orchard Park and they were one of the heaviest favorites in NFL history. Everyone expected them to wipe the Saints out but they put up a fight for more than two quarters and had a chance to go into halftime with the lead. The Bills picked off a trick play in the end zone and then took control of the game in the 2nd half. Josh Allen threw a couple TD passes and ran another TD in as the Bills went on to win 31-19.
Pats last game
The Pats hosted the Panthers from Foxborough and had their coming out party four weeks into the season. They have been playing close games against good teams like the Steelers and bad teams like the Dolphins, but last week they played a bad team and mopped the floor with them. Drake Maye had a light day, but he was near perfect going 14/17 for 203 yards a couple TDs, but the party got started with a Marcus Jones 87 yard punt return in the first quarter and the Pats would roll to a 42-13 win over Carolina.
We are live from Orchard Park
Hello everyone and welcome to Buffalo where the Bills are back home looking to stay perfect after the New Orleans Saints gave them a surprise last week.
