Patriots vs Vikings: preview
Patriots
The Patriots had a negative record three weeks ago, but Bill Belichick’s men now head to Minnesota on a three-game winning streak that has improved their record to 6-4. Most recently, New England defeated the New York Jets 10-3 on Sunday.
As the six-time Super Bowl champions seek a 14th postseason appearance in the last 13 seasons, their recent uptick in form has taken them up to the sixth seed in the AFC Playoff picture.
Vikings
The Vikings, meanwhile, are well on course not only for a return to the Playoffs after a two-season absence, but also a first NFC North title since 2017. Kevin O’Connell’s side are 8-2 and, as things stand, would advance to the postseason as the second seeds in the NFC.
However, they’re licking their wounds after a blowout defeat to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
Minnesota went into the Week 11 clash on a run of seven straight wins, but a 40-3 thumping by the Cowboys saw the Vikings suffer their first loss since mid-September.
