Pittsburgh Steelers might have needed divine intervention for win over Baltimore Ravens
Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are moving on to the AFC Playoffs but it took a near miracle for them to top the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.

The dust is settled and the NFL’s playoff bracket is set. Week 18 ended with a bang as the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens in a photo finish that will be remember forever for those in the Steele City, but did Aaron Rodgers, TJ Watt and the rest of those in black in yellow nee some divine intervention to pull of the win?
Instant classic from Acrisure
It would be awfully hard to explain what happened at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday night any other way. Two teams that are known for their banging, bruising styles suddenly turned into the 2000 St. Louis Rams, lighting up the score board in the final quarter of the game.
After two and a half quarters of typical AFC North football, where the defense and the run game dictated the night, both the Steelers and Ravens both ignited as Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson put on their super hero capes and tried to will their teams to victory.

Four touchdown in the final 8:42 of the game, a missed PAT that seemed like it would be the death of the Steelers and the end of their season, until the final seconds of the game when Tyler Loop missed a 44 yard field goal to win the game and send the Ravens to the playoffs.
Loop’s miss FG a god send?
In the moments after the final second of the last game of the regular season, as the Pittsburgh Steelers celebrated their AFC North win NBC’s broadcast showed a pregame clip of a priest gracing the end zone with holy water. It was the very end zone that Loop was facing when he kicked the potential game winning field goal
Acrisure Stadium is famous for it’s swirling winds, and unpredictable gusts. Kicking in the Steele City is notoriously difficult, but Pittsburgh place kicker Chris Boswell has made a living out of handling the conditions. He was let of the hook after missing the PAT with 55 seconds to go which kept the Steeler up just two points when Loop missed the kick.
Loop was brought in this offseason after the Ravens parted ways with their long time kicker Justin Tucker after allegations of sexual misconduct. He was drafted in the 6th round out of Arizona and hit 29-32 field goals in his rookie year. He was 29/29 from under 50 yards, but with the season on the line, he missed a 44 yarder to send the Steelers to the playoffs, while the Ravens missed out on a piece of divine intervention and the post season.
