Playoff bound Jags dealt blow with Jourdan Lewis setback
After securing a playoff spot in Week 16, the Jaguars can take the AFC South with a win or tie on Sunday in Indianapolis and a Houston loss.

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jourdan Lewis will miss the remainder of the 2025 NFL season because he is scheduled to undergo season-ending foot surgery.
The injury occurred during the Jaguars’ 34-20 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday, December 21, 2025. According to reports released today (Christmas Day), the injury is severe enough to require a surgical procedure, and the team has placed him on injured reserve.

After eight seasons in Dallas, Lewis signed a three-year, $30 million contract with Jacksonville in March and had two interceptions in 12 games for the AFC South leaders. pic.twitter.com/BKulYX1GCJ
Before the injury, Lewis had recorded 39 tackles and two interceptions across 12 games in his first season with Jacksonville.
His absence is a significant blow to the Jaguars’ secondary as they prepare for a playoff run, especially since they have already lost other key cornerbacks like rookie Travis Hunter to a knee injury.
