Potential landing spots for Tyreek Hill after getting released by the Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are in the process of a complete revamp of the organization, and Tyreek Hill was the most recent one to be sent his marching orders.

There seems to be a changing of the guard in Miami, and Tyreek Hill was the latest star to find himself on the chopping block in South Beach. The Miami Dolphins released the star pass catcher on Monday afternoon, and now teams around the league will be looking to sign the five team First-Team All Pro.

Miami is over the Hill

Hill and the Dolphins parted ways after a tumultuous last couple of years in Miami. A disappointing season in Miami two season ago was followed by Hill having his season cut short this year after suffering a horrific leg injury in Week 4 against the New York Jets.

Things went from bad to worse in Miami after that as Tua Tagovailoa was benched for the final few weeks of the season and head coach Mike McDaniel was let go after four season in charge of the Dolphins. Now its Hill who has been let go as the Dolphins seems to be moving on from the previous era that started with promise, but ended in dispair.

Now the question is where could Hill wind up now that the Dophins have cut ties with him? He is just 31 years old and as of 2023 he was one of the top receivers in the league. In 2024 his numbers dipped and this year he played just four games, but he’s just two seasons removed from a First Team All-Pro selection, and you would think he’s got some football left in him, despite being on the mend from a serious knee injury.

McDaniel reunion in LA?

The Chargers could be the best bet for Hill who just saw his former coach Mike McDaniel get the offensive coordinator job in Los Angeles. When the announcement became public, Hill went to X to let the world know what he thought about the agreement. It was cryptic, but people could read between the lines, and Justin Herbert would love to have a premier WR lined up out wide.

The Kansas City Chiefs are another team that might come knocking on the door. Hill started his career in KC, and won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs before leaving for Miami. With his ties to the Chiefs, and his desire to get back to winning, and contending that could very well be an option.

The Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and New York Jets are also rumored to be interested, but neither of those teams seem ready to win now. Hill is a long way from returning to the field, but he has started walking without a brace as of two weeks ago.
