NFL fans might want time to go by as fast as possible due to the lack of action, but here’s good news for all of them.

Netflix is about to release ‘Quarterback’, a documentary as a part of a partnership between the league and the platform that will give the audience access to an inside look at three quarterbacks’ daily routines during the season and personal lives when they’re off the field.

Quarterback will also feature unprecedented footage of quarterbacks being mic’d up for every single game of a season.

Three quarterbacks will be the main stars during eight episodes

The documentary premieres Wednesday, July 12 on Netflix, with cameras following three quarterbacks during eight episodes to give the fans an insight into how these talented top athletes live their lives.

Quarterback follows Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota from the beginning of the 2022 season till the end. It shows Mahomes’ Super Bowl-winning campaign with the Chiefs, Cousins’ extraordinary comeback, and Mariota being the starting QB for the Atlanta Falcons.

“I’m excited for fans to get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at an unforgettable season for the entire Chiefs organization and for my family,” Mahomes told Netflix.

From welcoming home a new baby in the middle of the season to welcoming the Lombardi trophy back to Kansas City, our crew was there for it all. This new Netflix series will show the time, preparation, and balance that it takes to be an NFL quarterback and perform on the biggest stage”, he added.

Legend quarterback Peyton Manning is one of the docu-series executive producers.

“We’ve seen quarterbacks mic’d up for a game. We’ve certainly seen training camp. But we’ve never followed a quarterback throughout the entire season to see what he does Sunday night after a big win, after a brutal loss on a last-second field goal — what they do on Mondays and Tuesdays on their off days”, he said.

There’s no word yet on whether the documentary has been renewed for season 2 on Netflix, but a decision is likely to be announced soon.
