Raiders 7 vs 10 Broncos summary, stats, score and highlights | NFL Week 10
The Las Vegas Raiders put up a fight on Thursday night, but the defense and special teams led the Denver Broncos to their seventh straight win.

Show key events only
The Broncos had a chance to add to the lead, but Kelley came up with his second INT of the night after Franklin returned the favor that Jeanty did Denver. The Raiders were stopped and had to try a long field goal, but Dan Carlson missed the 48 yard field goal wide right and the Broncos were able to run out the clock and secure their seventh straight win.
With the offense unable to do anything, the special teams came to the defenses aid and came up with a blocked punt. That set up the Broncos inside the 15, but again, the Broncos had to settle for a field goal. This time Lutz hit the short kick and put the Broncos up 10-7.
Then it was the Broncos defense turn to make a play. Geno Smith gets credit for the INT, but this one is all on Jeanty who had it in his hands and dropped it allowing Dondrea Tillman to make the pick. DEN's offense was stiffled and Will Lutz missed a 50+ yard field goal in a windy Mile High Stadium.
Thing would go from bad to worse for both offenses from there. Nix had a chance to put his team in scoring position with a 2 minute drive, but he launched up a prayer that was picked by Kyu Blu Kelley.
The Broncos finally got into the end zone right before the halftime break. The Raiders went for it right around midfield and Geno Smith was sacked by Nick Bonitto which gave DEN good field position for the first time all night. Nix found Troy Franklin with the 7 yard TD pass, the only one of the night for DEN.
It was a field position game for a long time and that's how the Raiders were staying in the lead as they forced four straight three and outs on Denver. AJ Cole only added to that field possession battle for LV with his two punts that pinned DEN inside the 2 yard line.
It was an ugly night in Denver but the Broncos did just enough to secure their seventh straight win to stay atop the AFC West. They took on a Las Vegas Raiders team that put up a scrap, but the Broncs were able to hold them off late in the fourth quarter
Denver came out flat, yet again, and on Thursday night the Raiders punished them by taking a 7-0 lead with this 5 yard Ashton Jeanty TD run.

WE ARE UNDERWAY FROM DENVER!!!
Las Vegas get the ball to start the game and here comes Geno Smith and the Raiders taking over from the 35.
It's showtime from Denver and the Broncos have pulled out their old school jerseys from the early John Elway days for primetime football tonight.
Surtain’s injury status
This dominant Denver defense is driven by reigning Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain, but he will be sitting out tonight’s game against the Raiders as he continues to rehab his pectoral injury he suffered against the Dallas Cowboys. He was schedule to miss four to six weeks after getting diagnosed with the injury that will not require surgery. That would get him back on the field after the Denver BYE in Week 12 for the match up against the Commanders in Week 13. He is always needed by this Broncos defensive unit, but maybe not as much tonight as he would be next week against the Kansas City Chiefs.

AFC Standings
Taking a look at the AFC standings we see the Broncos are locked in a thee way tie at 7-2 with the Colts and the Patriots. I don’t think anyone expected those teams to be at the top of the conference halfway through the season, but they are leading their respective divisions and right now the Broncos are holding off the Chargers, Chiefs and obviously the Raiders. They have half the job done, but it’s only going to get tougher as the weeks go on and the playoff race heats up.
Denver’s fantastic finishes
Last week it was Bo Nix and the Broncos making a fourth quarter comeback against the Houston Texans, but they have been making a habit of late, dramatic comebacks this season. They did so in back to back weeks, first in Philly against the Eagles, when they were down 17-3 and came back and scored 18 points in the 4th to hand Philly their first loss of the season. The next week was even more incredible. They trailed NYG 19-0 to start the 4th, then 26-8 with 6:00 to go. Nix cut into the lead with a 7 yard TD scramble then converted the two point conversion. A Jaxson Dart interception with under 5:00 to go opened the door for a Nix pass to Harvey to cut the lead to three. DEN would take a 30-26 lead with 1:51 to go only to lose the lead on a Giants TD run from Dart with 37 seconds to go, but NY missed the extra point to keep the lead at two. Nix put the Broncos in FG position and Lutz capped one of the most memorable comebacks in recent history.
Denver’s dominant defense
This Denver defense is no joke. Even last year they were one of the top units in the league, and this year they might be even better. The offense has started clicking in Nix’s second year which makes this team even more dangerous, but Denver prides themselves on their ability to shut teams down. They are third in yards allowed per game with an average of 279.9 allowed per outing, and they 18.4 points per game allowed is fourth in the league. Tonight they are going to look to tee off on the mistake prone Geno Smith who leads the league in INTs.
Broncos star watch
Bo Nix was exactly the quarterback that Sean Payton wanted in the NFL Draft two years ago. Since making his debut he has been getting better with each and every game. He’s had big games this season, like he did against the Bengals and the Cowboys, and he’s had other games in which he’s struggled like he did last week in Houston. No matter how good or bad of a game he is having he always seems to come through in the clutch when his team need him. The Broncos will hope they don’t have to make a comeback in the fourth quarter against a lowly Raiders team but if they should, Nix is the guy they entrust to make it happen.
Raiders star watch
I’m not sure star watch is the appropriate term for anyone on this Raiders team other than Maxx Crosby. He got a big money deal earlier in the season, but has been battling through injuries all season. He is back to the field after some rumors started floating around about a potential trade. He came back from injury last week, and had a sack and four tackles. On the season he’s got 5 sacks and a total of 21 tackles. Tonight he is going to have to cause hell in the backfield against a Broncos team that has been rolling lately.
Broncos last game
The Broncos went to Houston and both defenses put on a showcase in a game that started with field goals and ended with field goals. The Broncos D was shutting down the Texans offense but Bo Nix and the offense were struggling all afternoon. That would all change in the fourth quarter. Down 15-7, Bo Nix hit RJ Harvey with a 27 yard TD pass and the two point conversion was successful as Nix hit Troy Franklin in the end zone to tie up the game. Both teams struggled to move the ball for the rest of the quarter, but DEN got the ball on their 36 with 50 seconds to go and Nix marched his team into scoring position and set up the Will Lutz field goal as time expired.
Raiders last game
The Raiders were locked in a shootout with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but until the fourth quarter both LV and JAX were exchanging field goals including a record setting FG kicked by Cam Little but all of the sudden the fireworks ignited at Allegiant Stadium. Both teams exchanged TDs for four straight possessions until Cam Little tied the game up with a 48 yard field goal with 16 seconds left on the clock. The game went to OT and Trevor Lawrence got the Jags into the end zone after a six minute drive that took most of the time in OT off the board. Geno Smith hit Brock Bowers with 16 seconds left in the OT session but Smith’s pass on the two point conversion was batted down and the Raiders dropped their fifth in your last six.
