Rams coach Sean McVay leaves the door open to former Super Bowl MVP
The Los Angeles Rams rallied to make the playoffs once their two star wide receivers came back from injury but one of those WRs might be on his way out.

It’s been a busy last week for Sean McVay. The Los Angeles Rams are a little more than a month into the offseason, but he’s hasn’t got much rest since his team was knocked out of the playoffs by the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round.
Stafford staying put
The NFL combine just came to an end from Indianapolis, so he will be talking over prospects, team needs and potential picks with his scouts ahead of the upcoming draft. The Rams signed the face of the franchise, Matt Stafford, to a new contract on Friday after grating him permission to talk with other teams. To add to all that he’s got a 16-month old at home, so there is really no real “offseason” for McVay.
He admitted that Stafford signing a new deal does have him “sleeping better these last couple days” but there is one cause for concern still giving him something to think about as he lays his head to sleep.
I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA.

Cooper Kupp was informed the Rams are going to try to trade him this offseason aster eight years and a Super Bowl title in LA. In a message sent on social media, Kupp stated “will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships.”
McVay spoke with reporters about his star WR’s who has been with him since he was named coach of the Rams. “I think I would never speak in absolutes, but I do think let’s gather all the information,” he said on Monday. “We’ll take it a day at a time. We’ll kinda see what the next steps entail.”
End of Puka/Kupp era?
Kupp and second year WR Puca Nakua turned into one of the most lethal one two punches in the league over the last couple years, and obviously Stafford and McVay would love to keep that tandem around for another few seasons.

Kupp was originally thought to have been put on the market earlier in the year. The Rams were struggling as he and Puca Nakua got hurt early in the season, but those two came back healthy and the Rams got hot. They turned things around after LA lost four of their first five, and won eight of their last 11 to make it to the playoffs.
Kupp will have to play the waiting game as the Rams look to reap their roster. The Franchise Tag deadline comes to an end tomorrow, March 4th and that’s when we will start to really see some moves being made around the league. Whether Kupp will be on the move remains to be seen.
