Rams coach Sean McVay Super Sunday plan may not include Super Bowl LX
The Los Angeles Rams were knocked out of the playoffs in the NFC Championship, and worst of all their NFC West rivals the Seattle Seahawk beat them.

The Los Angeles Rams were a touchdown away from a trip to Levi’s Stadium for Super Bowl Sunday, but they came up short and now they will have to watch the big game from home. At least that’s what you would think, but Rams coach Sean McVay has other ideas.
Rams fall short of Super Sunday
In a season that no team really stood out and proclaimed themselves as the out and out favorites to win the Super Bowl, the LA Rams were the sexy pick for many of the “experts.” They had an MVP candidate QB, a couple of incredible receivers, and the best offense in the league.
They were carried by Matt Stafford, who has spent almost two decades in the league, and was looking for his second Super Bowl since moving from Detroit to Los Angeles. The Rams were in the toughest division in the league, but still had a chance at the one seed until late in the regular season. They finished as Wild Card, and got the 5 seed as Seattle wrapped up the one seed in the final week of the season.

McVay’s side had to go on the road, first to Carolina where they narrowly beat the Panthers in the Wild Card Round. Then they had to go into Chicago and beat the Bears in frigid conditions. It took an overtime session to get past Chicago, and that set up a third matchup of the season against the Seattle Seahawks.
McVay still hurting from NFC Championship
The Seahawks and Rams had already played two tight games that came down to the wire, and to no ones surprise, the NFC Championship was another thriller. LA had the ball inside the 20, down by four with 5:00 to go, but Stafford’s 4th down pass to the end zone was broken up and Seattle held on to win.
A week and a half later, the scars of that game still haven’t healed for Coach McVay. When asked if he’ll be watching on Super Bowl Sunday, he said, “I don’t know. I might punish myself. That game the other day probably hurt more than any loss I’ve ever been a part of, and it’s because of the love for the team. So I don’t know that I’ll be tuning in for this one.”

McVay isn’t the only one that spoke of the love for the group of guys that the Rams complied for his season. Matt Stafford also stated his appreciation for the group. “I appreciate the guys in this locker room a whole hell of a lot. Everybody that helped me and helped our team be the success that we were this year. And that’s all I’ll answer for you.” It’s always painful losing in the playoffs but losing to your division rival and having to watch them play in the Super Bowl has to be the worst feeling.
