49ers

Left tackle Trent Williams suffered a sprained ankle last week and will likely be replaced by Colton McKivitz.

This Monday, they announced that wide receiver Willie Snead IV was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. To make room for him on the roster, the team placed linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee) on injured reserve.

Running back Tevin Coleman and wide receiver Malik Turner were also promoted from the practice squad.

Defensive tackle Arik Armstead (foot) is expected to return tonight.

Key duel

CB Jalen Ramsey vs. W.R. Deebo Samuel

Ramsey is considered by many to be the best cornerback in the NFL. Still, in the Rams’ most recent visit to San Francisco (Week 10 of the 2021 campaign, also on MNF), Samuel had five receptions, 97 yards, and a 40-yard touchdown courtesy of Jimmy Garoppolo; In addition, he carried the ball on the ground five times for another 36 yards and a touchdown.

Prediction

San Francisco is second to last in points scored per game (15.7), but leads in points allowed (12.3). However, we can’t ignore the 49ers’ winning streak over the Rams, so the pick is San Francisco 23-20 LA Rams.
