WE ARE UNDERWAY FROM ATLANTA!!!
Week 18 schedule
Week 18 is full of massive matchups with huge playoff implications. The Rams and the Falcons won't really be in any of those match ups, but the Niners and Seahawks will. The Panthers and Bucs have a play in game and so do the Steelers and Ravens. These are the Week 18 matchups coming up next weekend.
Rest of schedule: Rams
The Rams might have had their chances of getting the one seed stripped yesterday with SF's win over Chicago but that does take a little bit of pressure off of them for the final two weeks of the season. They have tonight’s game against the Falcons, and then a final home game of the season against the Arizona Cardinals before turning their attention on the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
Adams out?
The Los Angeles Rams saw one of their best receivers go down in the game against the Detroit Lions a couple weeks ago. That didn't stop them from putting up 37 points last week against the Seahawks, but the Rams offense is without question better when they have Davante Adams available. He is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game, but he looks like he is progressing well from a hamstring injury. They’d love to have him back tonight, but would much prefer that he is around for the postseason.

NFC Standings
Taking a look at the NFC Standings, things are a little more clear after the weekend. The Rams were hoping for a Chicago win over San Fran which would have given them a chance for the one seed. Unfortunately for them, SF won and that sets up a head to head match up for the one seed in Week 18 between SEA and SF. That means that the Rams will have to settle for a Wild Card spot, but they want the top Wild Card spot which would put them in a position to take on either the Panthers or Bucs in the first round of the playoffs, and right now that is the most desired match up for any team that is in Wild Card position heading into the final week of the season.
Falcons star watch
The Atlanta Falcons have had a one of the best, most electrifying running backs in the league, but they have yet to really get the best out of him in his first three years in the league. He has 2,000 total yards this season and 9 total TDs. He might be the second running back this season to go for 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yard receiving with Christian McCaffrey who has a chance to do so for a second time in his career. Robinson would be just the third RB ever to do so. He's got 1,250 yards rushing and 776 yards receiving.
Rams star watch
Matt Stafford has done a little bit of everything in his career, and should be on his way to Canton sometime in the near future. For as good as he has been over the last couple decades he has never been in the conversation for MVP. That's not the case anymore. He might have sealed his MVP case in a loss last week against the Seahawks. He did just about everything he could, going for 457 yards and three TDs, to bring his season tally to 4,179 yards, 40 TDs and just 5 INTs. It's looking like a two horse race between Stafford and Drake Maye.
Falcons last game
The Falcons went to the desert for a showdown between two teams that were eliminated from the playoffs, but it didn't stop Bijan Robinson from having himself a big day on the ground and through the air. ATL went down 10-3 early on but touchdowns from Robinson and Kyle Pitts would tie the game up heading into halftime. The defense would step up, holding the Cardinals for three points in the second half while Kirk Cousins QB sneak put the Falcons up 26-16 to close out the Cardinals.
Rams last game
The Rams went head to head with the Seattle Seahawks in a game that was going to decide who came out of Week 16 with the one seed in the NFC. It was one of the wildest games of the year, and the Seahawks had to come back from being down 16 points in the fourth quarter. It was all spurned by the controversial two point conversion that was called a lateral and picked up by Zach Charbonnet in the end zone. That would be enough to send the game into OT, and Stafford hit Nacua for a 41 yard TD, but the Seahawks would respond. JSN caught a four yard TD pass and then SEA went for two to win the game. Sam Darnold found Eric Saubert for the two point conversion to win the game and take the one seed in the NFC.
We are live from ATL
Hello everyone and welcome to Atlanta where the Falcons know their playoff chances have flown out the window weeks ago, but they are on a little two game roll and tonight they return home looking to knock off one of the best teams in the league. The Rams come into town knowing that their chances to win the NFC West or the one seed in the NFC are gone, but they will be hoping to finish the season strong to get the highest Wild Card spot possible heading into the playoffs.
