Ravens 28-25 Cowboys, Derrick Henry 2 TDs, summary: score, stats, highlights | NFL Week 3
Ravens @ Cowboys LIVE
Ravens get first win of the season over Cowboys
The Baltimore Ravens came into Dallas looking to avoid an 0-3 hole and that's exactly what they did. They controlled the game for the majority of the time, until the Cowboys made it a close one late in the 4th quarter. Still, they managed to come away with the 28-25 win over Dallas.
Ravens' unstoppable run game
Running back Derrick Henry was unstoppable for the Cowboys defense, finishing the game with 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He became the Ravens' first RB to score at least one TD in each of his first three games. Quarterback Lamar Jackson finished with 12 of 15 completions for 182 passing yards and one passing touchdown plus 14 carries for 87 yards and another rushing touchdown. Wide receiver Rashod Bateman was on the receiving end of the passing TD for 13 yards.
What happened to Tucker?
Justin Tucker, one of the league's best-ever kickers, attempted just one field goal from 46 yards and it was no good.
Cowboys tease a comeback
The Cowboys struggled both on offense and defense for the majority of the game but staged a super late comeback in the 4th quarter.
Early in the last quarter, Dallas was still trailing 28-6, failing to score a touchdown or stop the ground game. DakPrescott then led the offense down the field and ended it on a QBsneak in the end zone to make it a 28-12 game after a failed 2-point attempt. They then recovered BrandonAubrey'sonsidekick and Prescott delivered a 15-yard bullet to WR JalenTolbert in the end zone. They went for and failed at another 2-point attempt, making it a 10-point game, 28-18. WR KaVontae Turpin took in the 3rd TD for the Cowboys to finally cut the lead to 3 points with just under 3 minutes left.
In the end, the Dallas defense disappointed, letting Jackson slip through on a fake hand-off to gain a first down and keep the clock running, ultimately winning the game. The bright spot for Dallas, as usual, was kicker Brandon Aubrey, who made an incredible 65-yard field goal. The longest on record in the NFL is 66, and that was set by the Ravens' kicker, Justin Tucker.
Because of the comeback, Prescott ended the game with much better stats than he otherwise would have, finishing 28 of 51 for 379 yards and two touchdowns.

Dallas Cowboys have won the toss and elected to receive! Here we gooooo!
Almost go time!
We're just a few minutes from kickoff here at AT&T Stadium!
Brady's calling his third Dallas game in a row. Let's see how this one goes.
Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said he’ll use Micah Parsons as the spy for Lamar Jackson, meaning he’ll be the one to follow Jackson rather than the receivers on pass plays. Using Parsons as the spy takes him away from his other capabilities though. It would make way more sense for the Cowboys to put DeMarvion Overshown in that role. He’s faster, and he did it against Browns QB Deshaun Watson in Week 1.
"Mike [McCarthy] said I might spot Lamar, but I don't know," Parsons said. "That's a tough feat for anyone to spy Lamar. Man, so fast, so shifty and if that's my job, I just got step up and do my job so we can win the game because at the end, that's all that matters."
Cowboys vs Ravens Injury Update
The Cowboys had some injury scares this week when two stars, WR CeeDee Lamb and CB Trevon Diggs, missed practice. It looks like all is well now though as neither appeared on the final injury report. More good news for the 'Boys as TE Jake Ferguson is back after missing last week with a sprained MCL.
Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton and CB Nate Wiggins were dealing with injuries and limited in practice this week, but Hamilton did not appear on the final report while Wiggins is still listed as questionable. Guard Aumavae-Laulu has been ruled out for personal reasons after missing all three practices this week. Ben Cleveland will take his place behind starters Andrew Vorhees and Daniel Faalele.

Lamar Jackson vs Dak Prescott
Lamar Jackson won the NFL MVP last year, but Dak Prescott was his main competition, finishing as the runner-up. It was Jackson's second MVP win and Prescott matches his three Pro Bowls.
Even more intriguing is that this will be the first time the two quarterbacks will meet face-to-face since they both joined the league.
Jackson is coming off of three consecutive losses (including last season's playoff loss) for the first time in his career. Still, the Ravens' offense is ranked No. 1 in total yards thanks in major part to Jackson's rush abilities. He's rushed for 83.5 yards per game in the first two weeks of the season. Unfortunately, he's also thrown an interception in each of the first two games.
If Prescott wants to win this game today, he'll need to play better than Jackson, particularly in the passing game, as Dallas can't seem to get anywhere rushing with Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowdle, and Deuce Vaughn in their running back "committee". And with Jackson at QB, the Ravens are almost always going to win at the run game anyway.
Prescott threw for 293 yards in Week 2, but also threw two interceptions. He will need today to be his breakout game where that's concerned. We know he has it in him. In his nine years in the NFL, Prescott has 29,931 passing yards and 204 touchdown passes.
The experts are predicting an extremely close game for the Cowboys and Ravens, but they've got one team confidently winning it by a point.
Ravens vs Cowboys: Where they stand
The Ravens and Cowboys are both coming into this game badly wanting a win.
Baltimore Ravens - 0-2
The Ravens are hoping to avoid going 0-3 after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders in the first two weeks. The Ravens have only been 0-3 to start a season once in franchise history, in 2015.
It should be noted, however, that both the Ravens' losses were narrow. They were literally within a toe of tying the Chiefs and could have gone on to beat them, and they lost by a point to the Raiders when Daniel Carlson made the game-winning field goal in the final seconds.
Dallas Cowboys - 1-1
The same cannot be said for the Cowboys, who are currently 1-1 after defeating the Cleveland Browns on the road only to suffer a 25-point beating to the New Orleans Saints at home just a week later. That was their first regular-season home loss in 16 games and their biggest blowout at home since 2020.
That loss to the Saints was in stark contrast to their win over the Browns in Week 1. Mike Zimmer's defense received tons of praise after that road win only to allow 44 points to the Saints. The offense didn't help much either, barely getting anything going in the run game.
The two sides will be looking for a comeback victory.
