Ravens 23- 7 Jaguars summary, stats, scores and highlights | NFL Week 15
Gus Edwards punched the second TD of the game in from a yard out after the Likely's catch inside the five. The Ravens dominated the Jags defense on the ground, totaling 251 yards, led by Jackson's 97 and Keaton Mitchell's 73. Mitchell went down in the fourth quarter with what looked like a leg injury that the Ravens will be hoping won't keep him out too long.
Baltimore now have three games to protect their top seed in the AFC, but have a tough schedule with the Niners, Dolphins and Steelers coming up next. The Jags will most likely win their division but are essentially out of the hunt for the one seed in the conference.
Lamar Jackson showed his usual flashed of brilliance on Sunday in Jacksonville but none were more breathtaking than this Houdini act in the pocket which allowed him to hit Likely inside the 5 yard line to set up the Raven's second TD. Jackson had 171 yards, a TD and 1 INT on 14/24 yards and added another 97 yards on the ground.
The Jags had a great chance to put points on the board at the end of the first half, but with no timeouts the Jags ran out of time inside the five yard line and didn't even get a field goal. They showed a spark of life with this 65 yard catch and run from Jamal Agnew who put the Jags on the board for the first and only time.
Lamar Jackson did it both with his feet and his legs, and he seems like he's getting more comfortable as the season goes on. He hit Isaiah Likely on the opening TD of the game. The second string TE is doing a great job in relief of Mark Andrews and Jackson's trust in him is growing by the game.
Trevor Lawrence has been barometer to the Jags success this season. When he struggles, they struggle and while his numbers weren't terrible he made a couple crucial mistakes that cost the Jags points. He was untouched on his fumble inside the 20 and the Ravens responded with a 13 play TD drive.
The Jags came into Sunday night on the heels of a two game losing streak, set to take on one of the best teams in the league. They were going to have to be near perfect to beat the Ravens, and in the first half they were far from that. Rayshawn Jenkins picked off Lamar Jackson, but the Jags couldn't capitalize, missing two first half field goals.

The Ravens got a huge break when Lawrence fumbled the ball without being touched and Baltimore would punish the Jags right before the half.

The Jags started the game with the first big play, as Jenkins picked off Jackson but Jacksonville couldn't put points on the board, missing two field goals and turning it over in the redzone.

The Jags have lost two in a row and come into this game against the top seed in the conference as four point underdogs. Baltimore is -4 with the Over/Under set at 42.5.
The Jags need a win to shed some of the ney sayers but unfortunately the Ravens are in town and I think this team is just too strong.

AFC Standings
Taking a look at the AFC standings coming into the Sunday night game we see the Jaguars at the top of the conference at 10-3. They have a commanding lead in the AFC North and are holding off the Dolphins at 10-4 and the Chiefs at 9-5. The Jags are at the top of the AFC South at 8-5 but have lost considerable ground in the hunt for the top seed in the conference. They can take a big step towards home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win tonight against the top dog Ravens from TIAA Bank Stadium.

Is Lamar Jackson back to his best? We got a glimpse of what he could be when he won the NFL MVP in 2019 when he passed for 3,127 yards, 36 TDs and just 6 INTs while running for another 1,200 yards. This year he is on track to break his career passing yards record, and even though he hasn’t passed for as many TDs he has still only thrown six INTs. He has 644 yards, which is below average for him, but Ravens fans will tell you that’s a good thing. He is only running as a last option and he has done a great job avoiding big hits which means he has stayed healthy to this point of the season.
Lawrence is locked in
Trevor Lawrence may not be a super start quarterback in this league just yet, but he is invaluable to this young team that he seems to have taken on his shoulders and carried them back into relevance in the conference. Lawrence was listed on the injury report this week, but particpated in practice and should be starting tonight in one of the Jags most important games of the season. The former Clemson gunslinger has passed for 3,261 yards and 17 TDs while tossing 10 INTs so far this season. They aren’t great numbers but with the running game getting more involved Lawrence isn’t being asked to do everything.
Ravens last week
The Ravens are riding a three game win streak after beating Cincinnati and doing the double over the LA teams. Last week they were put to the test by the Rams who forced overtime in Baltimore. It was a QB dual in the rain and Lamar Jackson got the best of Matt Stafford. Lamar had 316 yards and three TDs with 70 extra yards on the ground but it wasn’t enough to fend off the Rams in four quarters . After going three and out to start the OT session, they forced a Rams punt which Tylan Wallace took to the house on a 76 yard walkoff return to secure the Ravens 7th win in 8 games.
Jags last week
Trevor Lawrence went into last weeks game in Cleveland hobbling on an injured leg and ankle but he went toe to toe with Joe Flacco and the Browns. Cleveland took a 14-0 lead thanks to a couple of David Njoku TD in the first half. Lawrence and the Jags cut the lead to seven in the fourth quarter but Dustin Hopkins kicked a 55 yard field goal to stretch the lead to two scores with 3:10 left in the fourth quarter.
