Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley had another standout performance this Sunday as they beat the Carolina Panthers 22-16 for their ninth straight win. It was a perfect opportunity against the Panthers' weak run defense for Barkley to break a franchise record, and he did so in the fourth quarter.

Barkley breaks another record

Before the game, Barkley was just 109 yards short of surpassing LeSean McCoy as the Eagles' single-season rushing leader .He finished the game with 20 carries for 124 yards. His season total is now 1,623 yards.

McCoy set the record with 1,607 yards in 2013 and it took him 16 regular games to reach that number. Barkley has done it in just 13 games, and still has four games left to play. He’s actually on track to beat the NFL single-season rushing record. Eric Dickerson currently holds the record with 2,105 yards, which he set in 1984.
