Chilean tight end Sammis Reyes formally said goodbye to his teammates after being released by the team earlier this week.
Sammis Reyes said goodbye to Washington Commanders. The Chilean player signed his release and will look to find a new team to continue his National Football League journey. Unfortunately, the native of Talcahuano suffered a hamstring injury in the preseason, leaving him on the outs in the nations capital. This Wednesday, Reyes published an emotional message on his social networks.
“Thank you Washington Commanders for the tremendous opportunity to represent this organization. I will forever be grateful for the support of my coaches, teammates and the fans of this incredible city,” he began.
Then, he thanked his teammates who showed him support for day 1 “From the first day I came to this team, they welcomed me with open arms. Thank you very much”. Now a free agent, Reyes will hope to find a team that needs help at the tight end position.
