This is Jaguars' QB Trevor Lawrence’s wife: Get to know Marissa
Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence met his wife when they were both just kids. Fast forward a few decades, and they’re expecting a child of their own.
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s wife Marissa has been cheering him on for a long time. The two actually grew up together, having met when they were just 5th grade kids.
It wasn’t until they were sophomores in high school in 2016 that they started actually dating and they’ve been inseparable ever since. They got married in April 2021 and announced in June 2024 that they are expecting a baby girl. Here’s a little about the woman supporting Lawrence through all the ups and downs of the NFL.
A bit about Marissa
From high school romance to marriage
Like Trevor, Marissa is from Cartersville, Georgia and attended Cartersville High School. When the two started dating, she would often post pictures attending his football games.
The two also went to high school prom together, matching in light blue.
Marissa and Trevor did not go to the same college, but they stayed together, dating long distance. Marissa attended Anderson University and Trevor went to play football for Clemson.
Marissa is also an athlete. She started playing soccer when she was five years old and continued to play in college while studying at Anderson, although had her last season unfortunately cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Though things aren’t ending the way I ever would’ve thought (corona cancelled our season and it is now in the spring. I graduate in December so I didn’t get an actual last season of soccer) I couldn’t be more thankful or filled with JOY for the times I’ve had with the sport I love,” she wrote. “I’ve worn this jersey with pride and joy, but now it’s time to say goodbye and start the new season that the Lord has prepared for me. I can go into it confidently knowing soccer has been a crucial part in shaping my life.”
In July 2020, when she and Trevor were both still in school, he proposed to her in the middle of Clemson Memorial Stadium.
The couple tied the knot on April 10, 2021.
From marriage to the NFL
Just a few weeks after they got married, Trevor was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and she’s continued to support him on the field.
She was there to greet him with a kiss when he took the Jags to the playoffs in the 2022-23 season, she was there when he suffered a game-ending high-ankle sprain in December 2023, and she’s been there for him as he deals with a concussion suffered last Sunday after a brutal hit from Texans linebacker Aziz Al-Shaair.
“Thank you for all the texts and prayers,” she wrote on social media. “Just taking time to make sure he’s okay and get[s] healthy but we appreciate all the support and love.”
Marissa’s job
Marissa currently works as an event planner for Love, Gigi Event Design, a venture she began in June 2021.
Baby on the way
In June 2024, Marissa and Trevor announced that they are expecting their first child, a baby girl.
